Executive Coaching & Development

Effective leadership is one of the most important determinants of a company’s success. Strong leaders are capable of identifying opportunities for growth, selling these in, and insuring that the organization is able to deliver on its goals.

Executive coaching is designed to:

  • Develop management potential and leadership ability

  • Increase executive productivity

  • Improve communication and facilitate team functioning

The Training Program occurs in three phases:

Phase I: The Assessment Phase

In Phase I, participants are assessed to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for development. This information is integrated and summarized in a succinct report compiled at the end of the assessment phase that describes the individual's current competency level and opportunities for growth. Phase I takes 2- 4 weeks to complete.

Phase II: Development Planning

In Phase II, a development plan is created detailing the resources needed to address existing challenges. A list of "training themes" or problem areas is generated which consists of three to four behaviors to be changed. A set of corresponding goals is established and strategies for reaching objectives are identified in the context of a written report that specifies timelines, appropriate benchmarks, and required resources.

Phase III: The Problem-resolution Phase

In Phase III, executives practice and develop the skills necessary to resolve each problem. Training typically occurs in one-hour sessions and involves didactic instruction, role-playing, direct observation, and video feedback, when appropriate. Trainees are taught to evaluate and address individual and area or division-level problems, create and motivate high-performance teams, cultivate relationships at all levels in the organization, mentor subordinates, problem-solve, and institute necessary organizational changes. Managers are typically seen in individual sessions for 4 - 6 months, although the frequency varies depending on the needs of the client.
